Charter

This charter sets forth those things that make Bikers For Christ Motorcycle Ministry (hereinafter, BFC MM) unique and effective and maintains the ministry’s founding principles while providing guidance for future ministry endeavors. First and foremost, this charter establishes that BFC MM exists to honor and serve God.

Who We Are:

BFC MM is a motorcycle ministry in which members ride their bikes and participate in events that put them in places where God can use them to minister and evangelize. We are a bunch of bikers who have been saved by the grace of God.

Vision:

That all people, including motorcycle club members, find forgiveness of sin and everlasting life by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Mission:
The mission of BFC MM is two-fold: First and foremost, to bring the good news of salvation through Christ to members of motorcycle clubs and others in the motorcycle world and to minister to their spiritual and physical needs and those of their families. Second, to serve the spiritual and physical needs of the lost, the last, and the least of society – prostitutes, orphans, street people, the homeless, the helpless, the bruised, the bruised and the broken - and anyone else the world does not want.

Motto:
“Some wish to live within the sound of church or chapel bell, we want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell.”
- taken from Charles Thomas Studd (2 December 1860 - 16 July 1931), British missionary to China, India, and Africa

Guiding Principles:
1)We Serve God:
BFC MM serves the God of the Holy Bible, the only true God, the Creator of the universe, and the Savior and Redeemer of mankind. We serve no other purpose, person, philosophy, thing, government or power. Our dedication is solely directed to our Lord Jesus Christ.

2)We Value family:
BFC MM is a ministry that supports the God-ordained structure of the basic family unit. We firmly acknowledge that the priority of the lives of married BFC MM members must first include our spouse and children and that our families are our first ministry. BFC MM will not support any cause or movement that works to destroy the Biblically based family unit of one man and one woman united in marriage. We also strongly support the principle that children need as much time with loving parents as possible in order to grow into Godly adults.

3)We Value Work:
Each member of BFC MM, unless retired or disabled, is expected to work in a vocation and in a manner that honors God.

4)We Value Ministry:
Membership in BFC MM is a serious calling. Those who want to become BFC MM members must prayerfully seek God’s will and count the cost.

5)We Support The Church:
BFC MM supports the local, historic, Christian church. We require that every member regularly attend and financially support a Bible-believing Christian church.

6)We Support Our Government:
While BFC MM is not politically oriented or affiliated, we do acknowledge our allegiance to our country. We encourage participation in government and civic duty and prayer and support for our leaders. BFC MM will not encourage any actions that are contrary to the laws of government, except where those laws are contrary to the laws of God.

7)We Are Not A Commercial Venture:
---BFC MM is currently under the umbrella of Rushing Wind Ministries, a nonprofit corporation domiciled in California, and is tax exempt under IRS code 501(c)(3).
---Free will donations to the ministry are tax exempt in the United States and gratefully accepted.
---Each BFC MM member residing in the United States provides a pledged support of $ 5.00 per month paid annually or semi-annually ($60/year).
---BFC MM reserves the right to sell products in exchange for fair market value and to charge reasonable fees to cover the expenses of special BFC MM ministry events.

Ministry Guidelines

You must be a Bible-believing Christian (male or female) and must be a member of and consistent attendee of a Bible-believing, Christian church. Members of controversial or heretical churches and cults do not qualify for membership in BFC MM. Contact us for more details about this.

You must own and ride a motorcycle: 500cc or larger. Spouses who are only passengers may also apply.

You must have a desire to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

You must make a covenant before God, yourself and us that you will not engage in drunkenness, use illegal drugs, or participate in illegal, immoral, or unethical practices (including crude language or swearing) or sowing discord as a member of this ministry.

You must not let others wear your BFC MM colors or do anything to discredit Christianity or your brothers and sisters in Christ. It is between you and God, so be faithful to Him. We won’t follow you around, but we pray that you won’t wear your BFC MM colors if you aren’t walking right.

Please read the following scriptures to give you a better understanding of these requirements. If you become a member of Bikers for Christ you will be accountable to God for your decisions and actions:

-Hebrews 4:12-16 – Nothing is hidden from God.
-Ephesians 5:1-21 – Standards for Godly living.
-Romans 6:1-23 – Dead to sin, alive in Christ.

This is serious business so please burn these scriptures into your heart.

If you are discovered participating in any of the above prohibited practices, or if you leave active membership, we will ask for the patch back.

If your patch privileges are revoked, we will hang it up for you and hold it until you get things straightened out. No money will be refunded. We ask you to be honest with yourself, God and us in these matters.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE
the Bible to exclusively be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. (II Timothy 3:15-17; II Peter 1:19-21).

WE BELIEVE
there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-14; John 10:30; John 14:15-26).

WE BELIEVE
in the deity of Christ (Isaiah 9:6;John 8:58; John 10:24-30; Titus 2:13); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:34-35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; II Corinthians 5:21; I John 3:5); His miracles (Matthew 8; Mark 2:5-12; John 2:11,23); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9; I Peter 3:18); His resurrection (John 2:18-22; John 11:25; I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19; Ephesians 1:19-21) And His return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:9- 11; Revelation 10:11-16).

WE BELIEVE
in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of life, and they that are not saved to the resurrection of damnation (John 5:24-29; Revelation 20:11-15).

WE BELIEVE
in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (John 17:20-23; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Galatians 5:16-25).

WE BELIEVE
in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-16; I Corinthians 6:19-20; Galatians 5:16-25).

Women in BFC

The women in Bikers For Christ Motorcycle Ministry (BFC MM) are full and equal partners in the ministry. Whether they are behind the scenes praying for those on the front lines of ministry or riding side by side, sharing the gospel. God’s plan is that men and women are equal partners in ministry.

Each Christian is individually gifted by the Holy Spirit for the work God has called that person to do. No two Christians are the same, but all are equal in God’s eyes. Whatever his or her role and purpose in God’s Kingdom, each Christian is vital to the mission of bringing the Gospel message to the world.

Whether their service is visible or behind the scenes, BFC MM equally values the ministerial efforts of both the men and women who wear the BFC MM patch.
